Based on life of top cop. Provides picture of disturbance/compromise in cops\' personal life. The writer has shared all his successes, failures, techniques, loopholes, fears, and nervousness candidly. Keen /minute observations are his plus. About officers“……..all good and genuinely successful officers believe in team work. Delegating power and giving credit to even lowest ranked……..”and about subordinates “they do not work under you. They work with you” Humourous at times “ I described my imaginary family…in thermal energy paper.” And “I thanked our ancestors for the concept of arrange marriage” targeting shy people. Practicality of recruitment by TCS, Infosys, how “Thekedar”works in our system- are discussed at its best. Be it Chetan bhagat or Jeff kinney whoever writes about teenage youthful experience- it is hilarious. Much resemblance with five point someone- in humour, in lucidity. Simplicity prevails all through the book. Good effort. Better if every professional write/share their experiences. Such book came after a Long wait . Earlier went through “ Honest always stand alone” and Biography of Sam manekshaw-“Soldiering with Dignity”, in search of professional tips……… this time a successful pick. Hats off to the author. After reading this book nobody will question about what engineers/technical persons will do in administration/police. Techniques which author as police officer has used are marvelous to nab criminals. All administrative /police service aspirants should go for it to see what they are going to face . Worth reading to know how administration works. Day today dealing of tasks are mentioned. One has to work with scarcity of resources, if he really has a zeal to complete the task. Tactics shared are good for followers. Interesting book which is not a fiction yet having essence of fiction. Presence of twinkle Khanna and Imran Hashmi irks (in foreword and in comment section respectively) More a memoir than literature. And things exist beyond literature.
